Like other insects, scorpions play an important role in keeping the ecosystem balanced.
Scorpions are very important parts of food chains and food webs, but climate change is causing them to disappear.
Climate change has had a profound impact this year. One of the major impacts we have seen is the unseasonal rains, which have led to widespread flooding. It has left its bad effects on scorpions and insects and has also destroyed their species. Due to heavy rains, floods have occurred, and they have covered vast areas of different countries of the world. Animals that used to live in burrows filled their burrows with water and drowned there. It is cleared now that climate change, are causing the extinction of scorpions.
In the whole case, such creatures, including scorpions in particular, were more affected because they could not fly and reach somewhere else, i.e., a safe place. Due to the high water, they had no way to escape. So, the flood caused a lot of damage to the scorpions.
Scorpions play a very important role in the ecosystem and their numbers reaching extinction due to excessive rainfall is a clear example of the negative effects of climate change.
